What Gift Could You Give Your Future Self | Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Committed Action
While we don't often think of it in this way, when we sacrifice, put in the effort, and make personal changes we are in effect, giving our future a gift. What gift could you give your future self? Well, that is entirely up to you, but it ranges from a degree or professional development to a better way of communicating, to a health goal. Listen to Todd as he walks you through a mental exercise to help introduce this new perspective and tool to help address emotional and mental stress when we are faced with doing something we would really rather avoid. I hope that you find the information within this video useful. If you do, please be sure to click the thumbs up. This helps to ensure that others will be offered an opportunity to benefit from it as well. The main goal of this channel is in educating people on how the human mind and body work to help develop greater psychological flexibility. When skills and concepts are practiced with purpose and intent, it has been demonstrated that a good deal of our suffering can be decreased.
